At The Flourish Federation, we aim to promote positive mental health for every member of our staff and student body.  We pursue this aim using both universal, whole school approaches and specialised, targeted approaches aimed at vulnerable pupils. All of our policies are designed to ensure that procedures and strategies are in place to support both adults and children and facilitating the maintenance and support of their wellbeing. It is only through supporting mental health that we can all 'flourish'.

In addition to promoting positive mental health, we aim to recognise and respond to mental ill health.  In an average classroom, three children will be suffering from a diagnosable mental health issue.  By developing and implementing practical, relevant and effective mental health strategies and procedures, we can promote a safe and stable environment for pupils affected both directly and indirectly by mental ill health.

We acknowledge that the wellbeing of our staff plays a key role in supporting that of our children and families. Working in a school is one of the most emotionally rewarding environments to be a part of - but it is also one full of significant challenge. At The Flourish Federation, we strive towards maintaining a consistent culture of sustainable work-life balance, communication and respect, supporting our staff to achieve their very best and endeavoring to deliver the highest quality of education to every child.

Physical and mental wellbeing is so important and, in this current climate, harder to maintain for many of us. We all can struggle with things and that is why we are putting this page together. It is here to support you all, parents, carers, grandparents and children, giving suggestions for activities, helping promote some of the wonderful community-based projects that our school council are organising, and also to link you to agencies that can offer support  - not only through the pandemic but beyond as well.

Rather than clutter the page, we have created sub-pages so that you can easily navigate to where you wish to look. Simply click on the link and explore.

We have also created a wellbeing contact-us link at the bottom of the page. If you have an idea or know of an organisation who can further support, please feel free to let us know and we will have a look into it.

Also, don't forget our lovely FLO (Family Liaison Officer), Gabby Gray, who is also always available to chat and support you - simply call the school office and ask to speak with her.

Let us know...

If you have any suggestions for activities or organisations who could provide support to our families, please fill in the form and we will have a look into them. Thank you.
