Mental Wellbeing

To Quote Mind.org:

"Good mental wellbeing doesn't mean you're always happy or unaffected by your experiences. But poor mental wellbeing can make it more difficult to cope with daily life."

We hope that on this page, you will find some supportive strategies that can support both yours and your children's mental health.

Mindful Coloring

You can use any coloring pages for this activity. Gather assorted coloring books with different themes and levels. Choose a coloring page, whether it is a page with dragons, cats, or just patterns. Use the coloring materials that best suit your needs. Colored pencils, flair pens, and gel pens are always fun. Colour quietly on your own in a quiet space, or with headphones - silence or relaxing music. If you make a mistake, just to breathe and move on.

Connect with Nature

We are obviously restricted at the moment but we can still take time to go outside for exercise. Take a ten minute nature walk to breathe in fresh air and experience the outdoors for a change. Go somewhere quiet if you can and take some time to think. Look around and take in the environment with your senses.
