Physical Wellbeing

We all know that physical activity can improve mood, reduce stress and anxiety and help prevent mental health problems. This page will hopefully give you ideas of activities that you can do (or your child can do), to help support them.

It is really easy to forget to get up and move while in lockdown so make sure you allocate a few minutes a day to some physical activity. This can be lots of different things including:

HELP US TO WALK AROUND THE WORLD

Can you help the to complete the school-wide challenge? Brookfield Juniors are going to try to walk around the world! All you need to do is let us know how far you walk/run each day.

To walk around the world, we need to walk 24,901 miles (40,075km or 60,112,500 steps).

1km = 1,500 steps

1 mile = 2,000 steps

Let us know how much you do each week and we can add it to the total.

There are so many things you can do around the house which are active!

Upload pictures/videos to your class KidBlog page (Juniors) or ClassDojo Portfolio (Infants) to show what different and adventurous ways you can be active!

Healthy eating is also really important for physical health.

Have a look at the below document for quick hacks to get more veg into your child's packed lunch.
