Erika Cross
Hello, my name is Erika Cross and I have been a governor since 2021.
Both of my children were pupils at Brookfield Infant and Junior Schools and they have now moved on to local grammar schools, where they are in Year 7 and Year 10.
I work as Head of English at King's Preparatory School in Rochester where I teach English to pupils in Years 5 to 8 as well as leading the English Department. I am passionate about reading and I also manage the school library as well as organising author visits and book fairs. I have worked in education for seventeen years and I am thrilled to have been invited to be a governor at the Flourish Federation where I am responsible for safeguarding, pupil and staff wellbeing and I am currently co-vice chair.
Having the opportunity to be involved in driving the strategic vision of the school, is both challenging and rewarding and I am looking forward to working as part of the school community over the coming years.
