Maths learning in Year 2 continues to be very practical, with the use of lots of different manipulatives (resources) so the children can visually understand the maths alongside their recording.
Each Knowledge Organiser will show you how the unit of work is introduced, the recources we would use and some ideas and examples of reasoning and problem solving tasks. Our Maths lessons are full of questioning and discussions - children being able to explain (reason) their maths thinking is something we embed straight away
