The Creative Chameleon, The Exploring Eagle, The Kindness Kangaroo and The Learning Lemur.
As a federation, we wanted our children to understand how they learn and what skills they need to do so successfully. For effective learning to take place, children must be curious, engaged and develop the skills they need to take ownership of their learning. From this we developed our four Brookfield characters that embody all of these learning behaviours and skills and are integral to our key values.
You will find these characters across the federation, being used on a daily basis by all members of staff, to encourage children to be independent, motivated and resilient learners. Through the use of these character stickers and a shared language of learning, children can reflect on the skills they have used to over-come challenges, show persistence and progress in their learning.
