This page is all about how we engage with yourselves - You can find meeting notes on here, such as our recent Year 2 to 3 transition meeting, parent voice following surveys and more.
We have lots planned for 2024-25, bringing you more into our school community and sharing the work that your children learn.
Through the year:
Year 3 parent meetings - Over term 1, we will be inviting you in so that we can properly meet you and learn about year child - as a person. What is special about your child? What interests them? This is standard for when your child joins EYFS; why should it not be so for Year 3 in a new school?
Regular opportunities to view work - Every two weeks, classroom doors are open after school on a Friday for ten minutes. This is to give you an opportunity to come in and look at your child's work. Please note, it is not a parents evening opportunity, it is simply about opening up the learning that your child is partaking in with you and for their books to be familiar to you. This is on alternate weeks for (e.g. Years 3 & 4 Week a, and Years 5 & 6 Week b), so that if you have siblings then there is hopefully a bit more flexibility in seeing their work.
Open Hall Displays - Roughly once every two terms, or when there is a big theme, we open up our hall doors to welcome you in and view the children's work.

Brookfields Junior school is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the well being and educational needs of its pupils. The school is vibrant, colourful and so very positive which creates an amazing environment for all children and all of their individual needs. From what I have seen so far the Head and all of staff there should be very proud. My Son moved to Brookfields from another close by school which was definitely a major negative factor in his well being and personality, in the short while he has been at Brookfields he is has become himself again and so very happy - thank you all at Brookfields.
Brookfields Junior is an ecosystem of empathy and support for learning and wellbeing of its students.
We love how inclusive the school is and how supportive the teaching staff is.
They take the time to listen.
The hard work and dedication to balance out fun and discipline with learning.
Fantastic school!
The loving family environment and the events held to make school a fun safe environment.
The teachers are encouraging and clearly very passionate about their job.
Thank you to all the staff involved for helping our child thrive.
I could not fault this school in any way, they are loving, caring and supportive, not only to their pupils but to the families too, they work tirelessly to help and support where necessary and put on lots of opportunities for parents, carers and children. It truly is an amazing school.
The staff are great, all so caring and take the time to get to know your child and always go the extra mile.
