Parent Engagement

This page is all about how we engage with yourselves - You can find meeting notes on here, such as our recent Year 2 to 3 transition meeting, parent voice following surveys and more.

We have lots planned for 2025-2026, bringing you more into our school community and sharing the work that your children learn.

How we engage

Through the year:

Year 3 parent meetings - Over terms 1 & 2, we invite you in so that we can properly meet you and learn about year child - as a person. What is special about your child? What interests them? This is standard for when your child joins EYFS; why should it not be so for Year 3 in a 'new' school?

Regular opportunities to view work - Every two weeks, classroom doors are open after school on a Friday for ten minutes. This is to give you an opportunity to come in and look at your child's work. Please note, it is not a parents evening opportunity, it is simply about opening up the learning that your child is partaking in with you and for their books to be familiar to you. This is on alternate weeks for (e.g. Years 3 & 4 Week a, and Years 5 & 6 Week b), so that if you have siblings then there is hopefully a bit more flexibility in seeing their work.

Open Hall Displays - Roughly once every two terms, or when there is a big theme, we open up our hall doors to welcome you in and view the children's work.

Parent Voice

Parent Survey November 2025

What parents say about us (Nov 25):

Safe environment, great ownership of children personal development

Lovely teachers who care about children and their development. Plenty of help, advice and support available.

The school will make every effort to support children and parents.

The teachers are amazing and they actually care about the kids. All the activities and forest school is amazing.

The school put the children first and put so much effort into additional school events for the children. My daughter is very happy at school.

The efforts you go to get to know children as an individual in the juniors school is so lovely, everyone we've spoken to knows and gets our little one which is so reassuring. Thank you for taking feedback about having staff on the gate to help with those morning scaries and for always finding time for us as parents whether it be via dojo or in person. Her teacher has been so helpful in helping our daughter to settle and knows her really well. Thank you so much for everything.

The school have been welcoming, and super supportive. Our child is absolutely thriving at school, loves attending and is clearly having a great time. I’m super happy we moved house and was able to get our son into Brookfield.

All of the staff are so friendly, they really do care about the children in all areas. Just a lovely school!

Best school in the area!
