Hello, my name is Fiona Batchelor. I have been a parent governor since 2017. Before that I was an active member of the FOBS since my eldest joined the school in year 1. She is now in secondary school! I also have a younger child who is now in year 2.
I work as a Customer Service Development Librarian for Kent County Council. I look after twelve libraries in the Maidstone District, working to develop our services, organise events, manage initiatives, communicate and engage with the local community and inspire a love of libraries and reading in the community. I am also a counsellor and well-being therapist, working with children, adolescents and adults in groups or 1-2-1.
I'm a proud member of the Brookfield community and always have been so it is important to me to be a part of the school's governing body where I feel I can be a part of the brilliant work they do. I am the safeguarding governor and now also vice chair.
